Hey thanks for putting in my bump! That put a smile on my face.
I can’t believe you’re in Dallas! I was in school there last year, while TheyNow began.
TheBlunderbuss
Are you sure all the music come from the same movie?
TheBlunderbuss
Erm. What I mean to say is, I find it hard to believe that even the Disney songs and Spin-the-Dial are on the same movie.
I don’t know if you can call Direct from Brooklyn a movie, and using the Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns documentary is cheap.
TheBlunderbuss
Neither DfB or Gigantic have Spin The Country Dial, though…it was only released via UnLtd, Dialasong.com and Clock Radio. And the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme wasn’t released via any movie. I’m a bit confused.
CapitalQ
Oh, I see what the question is. He’s asking for the movie that all of the background music he spoke during (with the exception of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) originated from…to which I have absolutely no idea.
CapitalQ
That video reminded me. An internet aquaintance of mine made an animated short to Where do they Make Balloons?. I’ll try to find it and let you know about it.

Right there.
Also! Big Guns was kinda awesome, but the singer’s voice made me cry.
j2
CapitalQ is correct, and I’m sorry I didn’t make that more clear in the show.
Wow, this is the longest I’ve gone without a winner, yet. :)
Mr. Me
Complete Paranoia and All McGyver On It are still for sale, you know…they come on the Direct From Brooklyn DVD as extras.
Jim
Ok. I don’t recognize any of this music as TMBG music. I’m going to have to say the movie “They Might Be Giants” with George C. Scott.
Dr Worm
Jordan, the usenet poster whose interpretation of Museum of Idiots you read, is male. Just FYI.
Bibliophilia
Do I actually know this and am the first one even though I listened to the podcast a day late?!?!
The movie is “Raising Arizona”. Thank you, and good night…
Rachel
since i’m an idiot and can’t find another way to send you my answer, i’ll post in here in hopes that i’m the first to be correct. the music is from raising arizona?
camo
Another great show…is there a place I can email you? I’ve got a much better version of the Lopate theme, plus a bunch of other stuff you might want to play on the show (none of it is for sale) if you’re interested. Let me know!
Albert
I just wanted to add that since I posted yesterday I’ve listened to the podcast about 10 more times…I’m really liking this Amy Diamond…why isn’t she on iTunes? Is her stuff legally downloadable?
Rachel
Congratulations to Rachel for being the first one to answer correctly!
Mr. Me
Hey, I’m not sure where to email you, so I guess I’ll just post it here. I found a pretty good a cappella cover of “She’s An Angel” done by, of course, some college students, from Plymouth University.

i don’t think you’re right about the song “ultimate paranoia” being available as one of the audio tracks on the “direct from Brooklin” DVD. it’s “McGyver,” “Your Mom’s Alright,” and a remix of “Man, It’s So Loud in Here.”
where can we find this elusive song? this “Ultimate Paranoia?”
milquetoast
It’s on the DVD as the commentary track to the Snail Shell video, and in instrumental form as the commentary track to the credits.
TheBlunderbuss
I listened to the Podcast the afternoon it came out, and I was really disappointed that I had NO CLUE what that movie was, and still don’t see any connection. I want an full and total explanation, and I want it now!!!
Sorry for forgetting my manners. Please explain how all that stuff you played made any connection whatsoever to “Raising Arizona.”
By the way, I’m still waiting for my pencil from the Tryptophane Contest. As I said before, NOBODY but me made the connection to Flansburgh’s song of the same name but me, Mr. Me??!?!?!?
Troy Bogdan
I found this. It a video of a little girl singing “Why Does the Sun Shine?”

Leonard Carrier
yeah, it is on the comentary, but where is ultimate paranoia available for download?
milquetoast
hey! great audioblog!
i’m glad that i FINALLY remembered that you were doing this!
jimmy hutch
You’d have to rip it from the DVD, milquetoast.
Not something I’d advise doing for legal reasons.
TheBlunderbuss
“Complete Paranoia” is played toward the end of TMBG Podcast 6C. :)
And for Troy Bogdan, the music played while talking (the yodeling and stuff) is from the soundrack to ‘Raising Arizona’. So, that’s the connection.
